March 28th Meeting - Tips from Tracey, (please watch the video for more information and details):

  1. Insurance: Please make your own arrangements for health and travel insurance while you are away. Expedia Cruises, (Meriam or Elaine), can give you a quote, but there are alternate providers. UkeWest does not carry any insurance.
  2. Packing: Dress code is resort casual, but there will probably be 2 "formal" events that would merit something like a cocktail party dress code. One of the events is a "Gold and White" evening - so if you are interested in bringing something with that theme, you would fit right in! Although the weather should be nice remember to bring a sweater, and pants for the cooler evenings, and to watch "Movies Under the Stars"! Every person is allowed to bring one bottle of wine on board - bring this in your carry-on.
  3. Packing tips: Packing cubes, magnetic hooks (good because the walls are metal, and helps keep you organized)
  4. Princess Medalion:  There is a NEW app available through the Google or Apple store - download this and set it up with your booking number. You will then be able to view excursions and other information.

Excursions

  1. Cabos San Lucas - the ship will dock in the bay and people will be transported to the mainland with small boats. Remember to leave lots of time to get back onto the ship.
  2. Cabos San Lucas - the ship will dock in the bay and people will be transported to the mainland with small boats. Remember to leave lots of time to get back onto the ship.
  3. Puerto Vallarta -
  4. Returning:  The ship arrives back in LA at 6:15 a.m. on November 16th, guests should not book flights any earlier than 12:30 pm to get there from the cruise. Transfers are not available to the John Wayne Airport only LAX.

Embark on a musical odyssey with UkeWest as we set sail on a vibrant 7-day cruise along the breathtaking Mexican Riviera, departing from the iconic port of Los Angeles. This unforgettable journey promises a harmonious blend of sun, sea, and strumming, creating the perfect paradise for ukulele enthusiasts and music lovers alike.

Here's the video recording of the presentation that Tracey Walker, our Expedia Cruise Specialist, did for us on February 3rd**.

The package will be sold in CAD, NOT USD.

All cruisers must pay a $200 USD UkeWest registration fee.

Our Itinerary

We will meet at Hotel Maya in Los Angeles, where ALL  participants will gather for a pre-cruise meet-and-greet at breakfast.

Later that day, we'll embark on a group journey from the hotel to the cruise ship, setting the tone for a week filled with camaraderie and musical magic.

The ship, a floating haven of entertainment, will be our home as we sail southward, exploring the enchanting ports of Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta.

In Cabo San Lucas, embrace the vibrant culture and savor the stunning landscapes.

Mazatlan, with its rich history, offers the perfect backdrop for exploring musical traditions and enjoying the local flair.

Puerto Vallarta, a tropical paradise, invites you to join in the melodies of the sea.

The Ukulele Program

Whether you're a seasoned player or a beginner, there will be something for everyone!

Every day enjoy a scheduled jam session.

A great opportunity to sing and play while improving your skills and increasing your confidence with a supportive, welcoming group.  Maybe you will learn a new strumming pattern, or a new song.  Maybe you will just sing along!

During our three "sea days" we will also host "Festival Workshops" with one of three seasoned instructors, Tyrone Lester, Beverley Thompson, and Jeremy Nickurak.
