What is Ukewest
🌟 Why Join Ukewest?
Ukewest is a year-round ukulele festival. We hang out online every Saturday morning for community time, music, and learning. It’s relaxed, friendly, and it’s a great way to start your weekend. Once a month, we bring in a guest artist for a 90-minute workshop. Then, two weeks later, that same artist comes back for a Q&A session and a concert. Everything is recorded and saved, so if you can’t make it live, you can always catch up whenever you want.
On the Saturdays in between, we have our Strum-Along where Perry and I have fun offering micro lessons on various techniques and memorization tactics.

Finding Your Songwriting Voice (60 mins+) INTERMEDIATE
This class is aimed to help you write personal and authentic songs. We will focus on how to write interesting and authentic lyrics, and develop them into melodies that fit into chord structure and form. Diving deeper into songwriting, our goal will be to begin to unlock your personal style and message as a writer. Beginners are welcome, but those with a basic knowledge of chords and strumming may find it easier to concentrate on the writing and singing aspects of this class. Once Upon a Royal Chord Family; Understanding Music Theory through Storytelling Have you struggled to understand music theory? Would you like to memorize your songs? Dani Joy will introduce you to the Chord Family using storytelling techniques which will help you connect your heart to the music. You’ll meet the King, Queen and General of every key, learning about each personality so you can understand the relationship between the chords on a deeper, more personal level. Level: Beg & beyond
